If I was asked what interesting do I know about France, with no doubt I would say about its beautiful Eiffel tower, one of the most famous museums – Louvre and, of course, about its thousand mile plantations of grapes for making wine.

The story of winemaking goes to the history of Rome and Greece, they were first who start it. French history of wine experienced mostly everything, including church monopoly for wine making, wiping out vineyards because of vermin insect, economical crisis bringing out by world wars and so on. At last all of it caused the creation of organization that makes standards and controls everything related to wine (A.O.C.). That’s why wines made in France are well known all over the world for their unique taste and perfect quality.

Every year French vineyards produce more than milliard gallons of wine. The names of the most famous French wines coincide with the names of vineyard regions such as Burgundy, Champagne, Alsace, Bordeaux and so on. Practically all flavors of wines came from France and we can find something familiar if we taste California Cab and Cabernet Sauvignon.

French drink is divided into white and red sort cause of the grape’s variety. The most well known white wines are Muscadet, Sauvignon, Chardonney, as for red wines they are introduced by Cabernet, Merlot and Grenache.

French traditions of wine concern not only growing and making it but drinking it too. They are convinced that every sort of wine should be drinking with definite kind of meals and served in the right time of eating with the right temperature. It formed some kind of rules for wining.

According to them red wine is desired to be served with sea food, white wine has better taste with meat and sweet wine is recommended to drink with any bird. Always remember good wines shouldn’t be served with any meal that contains sugar or vinegar.

During the dinner we can change wines when we change courses, but we should always control quantity of it – to take pleasure of the taste not to get drunk. To determine the quality of wine and the right time to serve it we should pay attention to main qualities of this drink: purity, color and flavor.

The main principle of drinking wine in the right time of eating is to serve the light wines first, cause it will help to feel the taste of it, and to remember not to end meal with dry wines.

As for the temperature of wining it depends on its colour. For that reason white kinds of French drink should be on some degrees cooler than room’s temperature, even the use of ice is recommended if the weather is hot. In contrast red wines prefer to serve when their temperature is like the temperature of the room.

For better taste wine glasses should be thin, full only for a half to see amazing colour of a drink and to inhale wonderful odour of the bouquet. The rules of wining forbid leaving the wine in the glass for a long to prevent spoiling the taste.

That’s the rules of wining in France, I hope it help you to sense the real pleasure of this amazing liquor.
